TLC Supporting the dying with awareness

I offer a course in practical (non medical, non denominational) TLC (tender loving care) for those accompanying or visiting someone who is dying. At a time of emotional distress it can be very helpful to be already equipped with an understanding of the universal stages in dying and how best to offer support. This knowledge may also act as a map to help navigate our own feelings about death. We look at how listening skills and simple acts of kindness can make a great difference to a dying person. As well as times for quiet reflection there is space in the workshop for lightness and laughter. Importantly - there will be cake!
Qualified as a teacher of the FM Alexander technique in 1988, in 2013 Kate Kelly trained in Soul midwifery with Felicity Warner (author of ‘Safe journey home, a simple guide to achieving a peaceful death’).
Kate’s article “Toward the unknown region” was published in January 2016.
She has given TLC workshops in London , UK, Montreal, Galway & Belgium.
Usual format : 10.30-15.30 this includes time for lunch and tea breaks.

A certificate of attendance is available which can be an aid for those volunteering in a care home or hospice.

I can give a zoom course for a minimum of 6 participants price and things to be arranged
If you would like me to give a course on your premises I suggest:
Max 8-10 participants 6 hours including short lunch and tea break
eg 10.30- 15.30pm
Equipment needed: Chairs and flip chart. Possibly a screen for power point presentation but this is not essential. Access to a kitchen for breaks.
Cost per participant in your premises: £60 (minimum of 6 participants) or £600.00 for up to10 participants + travel expenses for areas outside London .
Concession price for Charitable organisations. Please ask.
